Loyalty and Respect

This commentary was produced by one of the teens in the Adobe Youth Voices program at the South San Francisco Intel Computer Clubhouse program.  The member also created a song to go along with is commentary discussing "loyalty and respect" from a teen's perspective.
Loyalty and respect are very strong words a lot of people say they live by loyalty and die by respect, but who really understand what those words mean? To me I am loyal to myself and my family members and I respect those who respect me. My name is Charles and this is my commentary. Every day I think how loyalty and Respect fall into the life category, can anybody help me? Living life in present day is hard, but we got to live through it. What are you loyal to, and what do your respect?

Sonet to Suicide

This is a commentary that addresses the issue of teen suicide.  It discusses how some teens may feel, the pressures they may be going through and ways to get through it. The commentary was written by a teen who has experienced these feelings and worked through them.  This project was produced at the South San Francisco Intel Computer Clubhouse for Adobe Youth Voices.

The Loss of Someone

Rebuilding Paradise

This is a documentary to cover the refurbishing of the Paradise Valley Boys & Girls Club's playground in South San Francisco, CA. The video project was made possible with a grant provided by Adobe Youth Voices and was produced by youth in the South San Francisco Intel Computer Clubhouse.

What Are You?

This is a video that explores the various cultural diversity of the youth and staff at the South San Francisco Boys & Girls Club.  South City Teens define the overused phrase "What Are You?"

Music Is In Me

This is my commentary on how I feel about music and what it means to me.
I'm JJ and music is in me.  Music was nothing brand new, it was like 2nd nature.  I guess I can say music is a true passion of mine.  om 808 droums to my trumpets and pizzcatos, each has its on set of words to express how I feel at the moment.  I enjoy music because it helps me to release me.  Everyone is unique in their own way and my music just shows how much more unique I am cmpared the next person.  If music was a person, it would be me because I'm complicated inside but amazing outside.  I'm JJ and music is in me.

Volunteering with the Second Harvest Food Bank

We interviewed one of the volunteers of the Second Harvest Food Bank to get an inside perspective of the program and how it benefits volunteers and the communtiy overall.

A Day with Second Harvest Food Bank

An audio project that was made to see how people feel about the Second Harvest Food Bank.  We interviewed several participants to see how the food bank has been a help to them and respondents talked about how it has been a blessing to the community.

Tedrik's Music Commentary

This is a commentary of how I feel about music.
My name is Tedrik and music is my passion.  Music to me is helpful.  It gets me through obstacles that I can't imagine getting through without listening to it.  I've become inspired to music from my family.   If music wasn't with me today, my life would be the total opposite of what I love to do.  With music, Ive been able to listen to different genres and even learn how to make music myself.  Music surrounds me in all directions from church, school and home.  Music relaxes me and helps me to be myself.  That is why music is my passion.
